Review of A&D Diaper Rash Ointment 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
As new parents, we were overwhelmed by the number of diaper rash ointments that are on the market. At the local drugstore or Babies R Us, we saw at least a dozen options, such as Boudreaux’s Butt Paste, A&D, Desitin, Lansinoh, and Triple Paste.

To be honest, each of these options is likely very useful against diaper rash, as they tend to contain similar ingredients. Two of the most common ingredients are Lanolin, which is a greasy yellow wax that comes from the oil glands of sheep, and Petrolatum, which is a refined byproduct of oil production (commonly known as "Vaseline").

Personally, we use A&D Diaper Rash Ointment, which we have found quite useful against diaper rash and dry skin, so we would give it a 5 out of 5 for its usefulness against diaper rash. We do not know how it compares to others, so it would be nice to hear your opinions! In terms of its odor and greasiness on the hands, we give it a 3 out of 5. It sort of has a medicine/hospital smell to it, which, once you form the association, makes you think your baby constantly smells like a dirty diaper. Of course, it doesn't really smell like dirty diapers!

What do you think is the best diaper rash ointment?
