Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I have used budget friendly tests similar to these in the past but the pregnant indicator has never been this faint. After reading several reviews both indicating faint line was false and faint line was accurate, I was compelled to buy a more expensive option to affirm or disprove this result. My additional purchase confirm pregnancy and was much darker than this image. So for me the test was accurate but given the reviews of others I didn't trust the results and had to confirm with another brand.
The instructions are clear and straightforward, the kit is easy to use. I suggest using a small jar -- something the size of a babyfood jar, as a matter of fact -- to catch the stream, rather than trying to hold the strip in place as you pee (the kit doesn't come with a throwaway plastic cup, you provide your own). Fairly accurate results are available 4 days earlier than most test strips -- on the first day you expected your period. The kit has 5 test strips so you can use it over months while trying to conceive, or retest in a few days if the first test was negative but you still haven't had your period. Also useful if you're *not* trying to conceive, but the inserts are mostly written for the person who would welcome a baby.
I was skeptical about these test because of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised to see all positives on the 5 test and was able to confirm with a store bought test that I am in fact pregnant! I was even more impressed that it was able to detect pregnancy and I'm no more than 5 weeks along. I highly recommend!
Just a note that this is for your expected period day for the most accurate reading (unlike the "First Response" brand that can read 6 days before your expected period) but is still effective a few days before. I believe it'd be able to detect the HCG (pregnancy hormone) a few days before your expected period as well. Had a pregnancy scare, took one of these tests which read negative, and ended up having my period the next day! Lol. Easy to use and read as well. (1 line = not pregnant; 2 lines = pregnant)
Pros: I used this product twice (few days apart} after missing my period. The instructions in and on the package was very clear and precise. if one never done a pregnancy test before, it would be a good one to try. My results were same both times , so no surprise there thanks god. . The packet comes with 5 strips so I had the option to try few more times. I also like the fact that all the strip were wrapped individually and you can cap the strip after dipping it in the urine while you wait for the result. Cons: I felt it was little expensive. You can buy a cheaper one and get the result 5/6 days ahead of the missed period.
I'm not a huge fan of the design of these. It's good that they use pink dye -- that makes evaporation lines less likely. But this design has a couple quirks that make reading the tests awkward.
The test and control lines are reversed from every other brand and style of test I've ever used. That's not the end of the world, but it can be rather disconcerting. (Yes, you can just turn the stick around, but there's printing on it, so there's definitely a "right side.") More significantly, though, there's a bit of a shadow of the test line that's visible through the absorbent layer even before the test is used, which makes it very difficult to discern whether you're getting faint positive or just seeing the line shadowing through.
Easy to read. Fast accurate results. This test told my sister she was pregnant when she was only 4 or 5wks along. These are a great value many others are way more expensive for just 1 test. These are probably one of the best value out there
4 of the 5 strips didn’t work. First one I guess was the most neat, it showed a faint pink by the end of the 4-th minute. The 2-nd didn’t even show the control, so it was invalid, in the remaining 3 the first one showed positive right away, unbelievable, it should start by 3 minutes, in the next 2 the dye just spread over the entire window momentarily, so again invalid results. Seeing a doctor with a pregnancy test will show better, until then I wouldn’t call this product even a 25% accurate, though they claim it “99% accurate”!! If I would have a cheaper product with 20 strips, and 15 of them worked, I would choose the most frequent result, but now I left with a waste of my time and money. Don’t buy it. I found it also very hard to pee just on the first 4 stripes and don’t get your hands messed while holding it. I had to use a cap in most of the attempts. Still didn’t help with accuracy...
