We love to travel as a family and had been on several flights before I decided to buy this pillow. After using it on four flights now, I only wish I had bought it sooner. It is super easy to inflate. It takes less than ten full breaths. It is smaller than a Boppy but is certainly substantial enough to be just as helpful. It does not quite fit within the confines of a coach seat so if you are traveling alone I recommend sitting on the aisle. It fits well in a business class seat.
As the instructions suggest, you do not want to inflate the pillow all the way. This is because it will be more comfortable and easier for baby to stay in place if there is a little give, like a real pillow. Additionally, the pressure in the cabin will cause the pillow to inflate further so you may even have to let a little air out once you reach peak altitude.
The cover on the pillow is very soft. I have machine washed and air dried it several times. It still feels and looks like new. It is very easy to get back on the pillow.
The pillow folds up and easily fits into a diaper bag. It takes about the same amount of space as a large (30x30) muslin blanket.
This pillow is a real gift to have with you on a long flight. I like to nurse my son during takeoff as well as descent to help ease the pressure in his ears. On nearly every flight I've taken with the pillow he falls asleep and stays asleep for the majority of the flight. He's a pretty good traveler to begin with so I can't promise any miracles for your little one, but this pillow has just made everything so much easier. My comfort level has increased, his comfort level has increased, and frustration is waaay down. I highly recommend this pillow for any nursing mama.

Loved this pillow. The minky cover is nice and soft and it inflates pretty quickly with your breath. I was worried about having to blow it up and deflate constantly when I’m out and about but it blew up quite fast! I love the 2 valves in one as well (bite and inflate & quick deflate)although they’re hard to push into the pillow once inflated. Not a big deal though.

Bought this for flying with my 5 month old. It made it through 1 round trip. I never inflated it 100% on flights due to the pressure. On the second trip it started leaking from the seam around the spout. Deflated completely after take off. Extremely disappointing and made the flight difficult. Would not buy again. Also the cover material is poor and made the baby and I sweat.
