We received the Lalo Potty for hands-on testing and used it with our two-year-old test child in all three configurations.
Here is a quick summary of what we loved and the primary issue we encountered.

The Lalo's greatest strength is its versatility. Young toddlers can begin with the low floor potty, then transition to the regular toilet using the removable trainer and step stool.
We especially liked being able to use the trainer and stool simultaneously. A child can use the stool to climb onto the toilet and then move it to the sink for hand washing.
The potty also feels much sturdier than its low weight suggests. It remained stable on our bathroom floor, and the toilet trainer sat securely on both round and elongated toilet seats.
Cleanup is straightforward because the inner bowl lifts out easily and is dishwasher safe.
Our primary complaint is the seat latch. After opening the seat to remove the bowl, snapping it closed requires both hands and substantial pressure near the rear hinge. A young child will not be able to close it independently, and some adults may find it frustrating. We also wish the bowl had a flat bottom so it could be safely placed on a surface (like on the bathroom counter) without tipping.
Outside of that issue, the Lalo is comfortable, compact, attractive, easy to clean, and reasonably priced.
Overall, we give the Lalo 3-in-1 Potty a very good 4.5 out of 5.

Unboxing & First Impressions
To be completely transparent, Lalo sent us this 3-in-1 Potty for hands-on testing.
The potty arrives in an attractive retail box with Lalo's familiar soft colors and playful styling.
The presentation makes it a cute and practical first-birthday gift for parents who will soon begin potty training.
Opening the box reveals the potty essentially ready for use.
There is no complicated assembly process, and our first impression was that the potty felt impressively strong for its compact size and light weight.
The molded plastic resists flexing, the edges are smoothly rounded, and the understated design looks much nicer than most brightly colored toddler potties.
At approximately 12.4 inches square and 7.75 inches high, it is also small enough to slide underneath many bathroom sinks or vanities.

Its official dimensions are approximately 12.37 inches long, 12.37 inches wide, and 7.75 inches high. It weighs about 3.2 pounds and is recommended for children 18 months and older.
Lalo states that the potty meets or exceeds applicable ASTM safety standards and is compliant with California Proposition 65 requirements.
The 175-pound capacity is especially impressive. We stood on the stool during testing and found it very solid, with no concerning flexing or instability.
As with any stool, place it on a clean, dry, level floor and supervise young children while they climb or reach toward the sink.
Floor Potty Mode
The floor-potty configuration is low, approachable, and allows young toddlers to keep their feet firmly supported.
Our two-year-old test child fit the seat very well.
He could sit down and stand up independently, and the contoured seat appeared comfortable and supportive.
The integrated splash guard was well positioned, and the inner bowl was deeper than those found in many compact floor potties. That added depth helps reduce splashes and surrounding messes.
A rubberized nonslip ring runs around the bottom perimeter. On our smooth bathroom floor, the potty remained stable while our tester sat down, shifted position, and stood up.
Pressing the button on the rear releases the upper seat and exposes the removable bowl. The bowl lifts out easily and can be emptied directly into the toilet.
We recommend carrying the bowl directly to the toilet rather than setting it on another surface, because its bottom is not especially broad or stable.
Built-in Wipes Dispenser
The built-in baby-wipes dispenser is positioned on the left side of the potty in floor-potty mode.
It keeps wipes conveniently within reach, but choosing the correct package is important.
We strongly recommend using wipes with pop-up dispensing, meaning that pulling out one wipe automatically raises the next wipe through the package opening.
Otherwise, the next wipe may fall back into the package, forcing you to fish for it through the Lalo's relatively narrow dispensing slot.
Test the wipe package before loading it and make sure each sheet reliably pulls up the next one.
Toilet Trainer Mode
The contoured seat lifts away from the base and becomes a toilet trainer for the next stage of potty training.
We tested it on both round and elongated toilet bowls.
On both toilets, it remained stable without an obvious risk of sliding into the bowl or tipping sideways.
The contoured shape reduced the adult-size opening and allowed our toddler to sit comfortably in a centered position.
The trainer is also easy for an adult to lift on and off the toilet and wipe clean after use.
Fit may vary with unusually shaped, heavily contoured, raised, or bidet-equipped toilet seats, so always check for movement before allowing a child to use it independently.
Step Stool Mode
Once the toilet trainer is removed, the base becomes a compact step stool.
At approximately 7.75 inches high, it provides a useful boost for climbing onto the toilet, washing hands, and brushing teeth.
The broad standing surface, nonslip perimeter, and 175-pound weight capacity make it feel much sturdier than many lightweight toddler stools.

Its greatest advantage is that it remains available while the toilet trainer is in use. Children can climb onto the toilet, then move the stool to the sink for hand washing.
That makes the Lalo genuinely useful during the transition to independent bathroom use.
Cleaning & Storage
The removable inner bowl can be emptied into the toilet, washed with mild soap and water, or placed in the dishwasher for a deeper cleaning.
The remaining surfaces are smooth and easy to wipe, without fabric, foam padding, electronics, or complicated crevices.
With the lid closed, the unit measures only about 12.4 inches square and can fit beneath many bathroom sinks, beside a toilet, or inside a larger vanity cabinet.
At only 3.2 pounds, it is also easy to carry between bathrooms or bring to another home.
User Sentiment
Early owner feedback is generally positive about the Lalo's appearance, comfort, compact size, and three-stage versatility.
Commonly praised features include:

The most consistent criticism is the difficult seat latch.
Multiple owners report needing substantial pressure to snap the seat closed, and some describe it popping open again after they thought it had latched.
This closely matched our experience. We could close our sample reliably, but only by pressing firmly with both hands near the rear hinge.
Less common complaints involve the trainer moving on certain toilet shapes, the splash guard not working equally well for every child, or the seat feeling small for larger toddlers.
We did not experience those problems with our two-year-old tester, but fit will depend on the child and toilet.
Things we Loved
We loved the versatility. The Lalo functions as a floor potty, toilet trainer, and step stool.
We loved the simultaneous trainer and stool use. Children can climb onto the toilet and then move the stool to the sink.
We loved the comfortable seat. The contour supported our two-year-old well in both potty configurations.
We loved the deep bowl and splash guard. Both helped contain messes during testing.
We loved the stability. The nonslip base remained secure on our bathroom floor, and the trainer fit both of our toilets well.
We loved the easy cleanup. The inner bowl lifts out quickly and is dishwasher-safe.
We loved the sturdy construction. Despite weighing only about 3.2 pounds, the stool supports up to 175 pounds.
We loved the compact design. It is attractive enough to leave visible and small enough to store beneath many sinks.
We loved the price. At approximately $39.99, it offers good value compared with purchasing three separate products.
Things we Disliked
The seat is difficult to snap closed. After opening the seat to access the bowl, closing it requires both hands and substantial pressure near the rear hinge.
A young child will not be able to close it independently, and some adults may find the mechanism frustrating.
This was not unique to our sample; several owner reviews describe the same issue.
The wipes dispenser needs compatible wipes. Packages without reliable pop-up dispensing make retrieving the next wipe through the narrow slot inconvenient.
The removable bowl is not very stable on its own. Because it has a rounded bottom, you need to carry it directly to the toilet rather than placing a filled bowl on the floor or counter.
Conclusions
The Lalo 3-in-1 Potty impressed us with its thoughtful versatility, comfortable design, sturdy construction, and easy cleanup.
The floor potty works well for younger toddlers, the removable trainer supports the transition to the regular toilet, and the step stool remains useful for climbing and hand washing.
We particularly liked being able to use the toilet trainer and stool simultaneously, which encourages independence throughout the bathroom routine.
The deep dishwasher-safe bowl, nonslip base, compact footprint, and 175-pound weight capacity are additional strengths.
Our main concern is the difficult latch. Closing the upper seat requires more force than it should, and the problem appears frequently in owner reviews.
Overall, we recommend the Lalo 3-in-1 Potty.
It is an attractive, practical, and reasonably priced potty training system, but the frustrating latch keeps it from earning our highest rating.
