A relatively new contender in the baby gear market, Unilove offers strollers, bassinets, high chairs, and bedside pillows.

We put their new On the Go stroller to the test and walked away with a good impression!

Full disclosure: Unilove provided us with their new On the Go stroller for testing, and we're very grateful (thank you!).

In our testing, we assembled it, tested all of its features, and took it out for a day on the town!

Is it worth a spot in our annual best travel strollers list? Let's find out!

Unilove On the Go 3-in-1 Stroller Review

Based on our hands-on reviews, we give the On the Go stroller a solid 4.2 out of 5 stars:

Overall Impressions

Most parents don't have time to read through this entire article, so here's a summary of what we found.

We were excited to get our hands on this new Unilove stroller, and we were pleasantly surprised by the following aspects:

✔️  Reversible seat.
✔️  Easy assembly.
✔️  Easy folding/unfolding.
✔️  Lightweight aluminum frame.
✔️  Vented seat for airflow.
✔️  High seating position.
✔️  UV-protective canopy.
✔️  Simple adjustments.
✔️  Highly nimble & maneuverable.
✔️  Unique style.
✔️  High weight limit (50 lbs).

However, like with any review we write, we also had some little gripes worth mentioning:

❌  Doesn't fold flat.
❌  Misleading weight.
❌  Tipsy with heavy kids.
❌  No suspension, cup holder, storage pockets.

Overall, we loved testing the On the Go stroller, which offers a unique design and plenty of features at a relatively reasonable price.

With its compact footprint and lightweight design, it's a good fit for jet-setting parents looking for something they can fit into a large overhead bin on an airplane, into a large suitcase, or into the small trunks of European taxis.

That said, there are some minor limitations to consider. The build quality isn't as high as with some of its competitors, but then again it's also quite a bit less expensive.

Second, it doesn't fold completely flat unless you remove the toddler seat, and according to our calibrated scale it weighs 17.7 pounds (not 15.5 pounds as claimed).

Third, while the stroller has a weight limit of 50 pounds, we think it's reasonably limited to about 35 pounds because it tends to become a little top-heavy.

It was missing some features that are present in slightly more expensive strollers, such as suspension, cup holder, and storage pockets for mom and dad.

About Unilove

Unilove is a relatively new brand name, which according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office was first trademarked in 2022.

The trademark is owned by a company in Taiwan called B&B Best Industrial Co., Ltd.

In the United States, they operate locally via a small business by the name of LOTSO LLC, based in City of Industry, California.

From what we can tell, they only import a few products, all made in China: a stroller, high chair, bassinet, pregnancy pillow, and a few accessories.

The stroller we tested appears to be manufactured and exported from China by a company called Familidoo Lifestyle Co., Ltd. Their manufacturing is compliant with ASTM standards.

While the Unilove company doesn't have a strong existing reputation in the U.S., we're always excited to try new products by new companies entering the market!

Hands-on Testing

We got our hands on the On the Go stroller in late 2024 for testing, which took place in Massachusetts.

Full Feature & Accessory List

The On the Go stroller packs a serious set of features that are complemented by some accessories that you can purchase separately.

Here is the full feature list:

✔️  5-point harness (no shoulder pads).
✔️  Two-position reclining seat.
✔️  Footrest.
✔️  Small storage basket.
✔️  Reversible seat.
✔️  Adjustable handlebar.
✔️  No-rethread harness.
✔️  Two-position seat recline.
✔️  UPF 50+ canopy.
✔️  Foot brake.
✔️  Storage basket.
✔️  Never-flat rubber tires.
✔️  Stands when folded.
✔️  50-pound weight capacity.
✔️  Height limit approx. 40".
✔️  Removable bumper bar.
✔️  Pet stroller compatible (with purchase).
✔️  Car seat compatible (with adapter purchase).

As you can see, the On the Go stroller has a decent number of features for the price.

What we didn't see were the following features: cup holder, snack tray, suspension, locking front wheels, infant insert, storage pockets, or a riding board for a second child,

Unilove also sells a few accessories:

  • Car seat adapter ($40, not included in test).
  • Rain cover ($30, not included in test).

We didn't notice any cup holder or snack tray accessory, though you can purchase a universal stroller cup holder at Amazon.

Assembly

The Unilove On the Go stroller comes in a surprisingly small and lightweight (about 20 pounds) box.

If you purchase any accessories, such as the bassinet or rain cover, they'll be shipped separately.

When you take the stroller out of the box, it is protected in a clear plastic bag.

In the box, you'll find the stroller frame, toddler seat, two rear wheels, a footrest, canopy, and bumper bar.

You will also find an owner's manual with assembly instructions that are relatively easy to follow.

You'll need to attach the rear wheels then unfold the stroller frame and stand it up.

Then attach the toddler seat, canopy, and bumper bar and footrest.

We cover the assembly process in our review video, below.

Assembly only takes about 5 minutes, and no tools are required. The most difficult part of assembly is attaching the bumper bar.

Here's what it looks like when fully assembled, in the parent-facing seat position:

Looking good!

Things We Loved

A few things worth pointing out:

First, the rotating seat is one of the game-changing features of this stroller.

By pushing up on the large button centered under the seat, the entire seat becomes free to rotate into either a parent-facing (shown above) or forward-facing position.

Here is the button you press to rotate the seat:

While the entire seat swivels freely 360-degrees, it only locks into one of two positions (parent- or forward-facing).

Here is what it looks like in the forward-facing position:

Note that the little footrest can be popped off and repositioned to support either facing position.

A second highlight is the high seating position, which offers little ones a nice elevated perspective on the world.

By our measurement, your child's eyes will be at least 3 feet up, which in our experience makes riding much more fun than being low down or reclined and looking up at the sky.

Other things we appreciated were the unique styling, the very smooth and maneuverable steering, and the surprising number of adjustments and customizations.

Car Seat Compatibility

While Unilove doesn't make or sell a car seat, they do sell a car seat adapter for $40.

This makes the stroller compatible with the following car seatsNuna Pipa adaptor also fit with Maxi-Cosi Mico and Cybex Cloud Q infan:

  • Nuna Pipa
  • Cybex Cloud Q
  • Maxi Cosi Mico
  • Graco SnugRide

We did not test its compatibility with any car seats, and thus cannot speak to whether they fit or rotate easily on this stroller.

Folding

The On the Go stroller has a strap on the lower rear of the stroller, just above the strorage basket.

This is what it looks like:

The stroller has a somewhat involved folding process because first you need to:

  • Detract the canopy
  • Fold down the bumper bar
  • Fold down the seat
  • Collapse the handlebar rod

Then, you pull the strap (pictured above) and it will fold the stroller.

Then push the handlebar down. When folded, it will look like this:

Notice how it stands on its own when folded - nice touch! However, expect that the canopy will get wet and dirty if you stand it on outdoor surfaces.

The stroller doesn't fold completely flat, coming in at about 15-16" thick. You can compress that thickness down to about 12", and you can easily remove the toddler seat which will make it much more compact.

There is no clip to hold it together when folded, which means that if you try to carry it from certain angles, it may pop open.

To open a folded On the Go stroller, simply pull up on the toddler seat, separating it from the lower frame. Then, extend the handlebar rod and canopy, raise the bumper bar, and adjust the handlebar.

The full folding and unfolding sequence is featured in our video below.

Ride Quality & Maneuvering

We loaded in a 10-month old baby and took the On the Go stroller for a spin!

We are happy to report that the ride was very smooth and the stroller was very easy to maneuver over small bumps and cracks, through doorways, and up and down sidewalk curbs.

Its lightweight build also makes it simple to carry up and down steps.

We did realize, however, that with a bigger child around 40 pounds, that the stroller becomes a little top heavy.

This causes a high center of gravity and a risk of it tipping from side-to-side especially when traversing uneven terrain.

If your child is smaller and you're only on even ground, this won't be an issue, but it's worth pointing out.

You can see more of our outdoor testing in our video, below.

Dimensions & Specifications

We busted out the measuring tape and took some measurements:

  • Folded dimensions (standing): 24.5" high x 21.5" wide x 16" thick (note that it can be compressed to about 12" thick)
  • Unfolded dimensions: 38" high x 41" long x 21.5" wide
  • Weight of frame alone: 12.2 lbs.
  • Weight of toddler seat: 5.5 lbs.
  • Weight of entire stroller: 17.7 lbs (Unilove claims 15.5 lbs).
  • Maximum child weight: 50 lbs (we suggest 35-40).

Small Annoyances

Nothing huge here, but definitely some limitations worth mentioning:

First, the stroller doesn't fold entirely flat, and there is no strap to hold it folded shut.

Second, while Unilove advertises that the stroller weighs 15.5 pounds, it actually weighs 17.7 pounds. That's a larger discrepancy than we'd like to see.

Third, with a 40-pound child in it, we found that the stroller tipped a bit side-to-side when going over uneven terrain. With smaller children this wasn't an issue at all, so keep that in mind when judging whether it's appropriate for your situation. If you have a heavier child, we recommend a stroller with a lower center of gravity and wider wheel base.

Fourth, Unilove advertises that the stroller has four-wheel suspension. It does not have any suspension mechanism. While this is similar to most other travel strollers, it's misleading.

Fifth, the storage basket isn't accessible from the back, you have to walk around to the side. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning.

Finally, a few features we'd like to see are storage pockets (for a phone, keys, wallet), a cup holder (even if sold as an accessory).

No stroller is perfect (and we're picky!), so we always have some gripes!

For the price, we were overall impressed with the features and quality.

Overall Conclusions

In summary, the Unilove On the Go stroller offers a solid combination of unique design, lightweight construction, and practical features that make it a strong contender for travel-friendly strollers.

Its reversible seat, high seating position, and ease of maneuverability are standout qualities, particularly for jet-setting families.

However, you should be mindful of its limitations, such as its weight discrepancy, lack of suspension, and slight instability with heavier children.

Despite these minor drawbacks, the Unilove On the Go stroller delivers good value for its price, making it a worthwhile consideration for parents seeking a versatile and stylish travel stroller.

We look forward to seeing what's next for Unilove!
